Looking this over, I have a couple of flashes. The Death card reminds me of the closing dance of death in Masque Of The Red Death, where our title avatar declares to Prince Prospero "Death has no title." Shortly thereafter, he claims Prospero's life. Similarly, something in the regime is winding down. Just having trouble pinpointing what.

Second, the Queen of Wands made me think of Ida Lupino, one of the first women directors. Started off as a Warner Brothers starlet before taking over directing Not Wanted when the previous director Elmer Clifton suffered from a heart attack. Never made a fuss about her pioneering role as a female director but her technique is as good as any of the majors. Makes think on our Uncrowned Queen, Kamala Devi Harris.

Thank you! If you'd like to see Lupino's work as director, I actually recommend a couple of TV episodes she did. First (and this will be the easier one to access), the Thriller episode "Mr. George", about a young girl protected from greedy, scheming relatives by the ghost of her father (who is never seen, though there is a sinister hint near the end). Second, the Twilight Zone episode "The Masks", which has a similar setup. A dying old man dealing with greedy relatives with an unusual form of revenge.

#nokings is also #noqueens js-- Kamala definitely won and I have faith in the investigation of the fraud. Hopefully you will follow that story independently or on my Substack since it is being buried along with Project Esther.

Pass...too many people are hanging their hopes on a predetermined answer. That usually to always results in ugly psychic fallout I'd just as soon skip.

Even if the best happens with the investigation (and let me be clear, I would like that best very much), the disillusionment will kick in soon enough after. People have to be content with whatever answer and its implications come out for peace of mind. Otherwise they have a new excuse to give up.

I would definitely consider a paid tier. It would be dependent on cost, as I’m on SS with no side gigs.

There are so many talented writers here on Substack, but I thoroughly enjoy yours having always been drawn to card readings, tarot, and pagan practices.
